ORDERING A CUSTOM MADE EBOOK
Ready to get started on a design? The process is simple, and I’ll be happy to help every step fo the way.
Note: Covers are made to the industry standard of 6 by 9 inches (1800 by 2700 pixels) and are 300 dpi. If you need a specific size, please indicate that on your cover request form.
FIRST
Download the cover art form below. It’s vital that you put as much information into the art form as possible. I don’t have time to read every book prior to making a cover, so this is your chance to tell me what you like and don’t like. What your vision is, and if you already have images in mind. I’ve included a cover page to help you navigate the ins and outs of filling out the form, as well as providing other pertinent information.
SECOND
Send your art form along using the request form button below or on the Contact link in the nav bar above. Upon receiving your request, I will confirm receipt and provide a timeline for your first draft. (Please allow up to 48 hours, though, I will try to contact you within 24 hours.) Time will depend on how many cover requests I have, but every attempt will be made to get a draft to you within 7 working days.
Please note: Drafts will contain lower res images with watermarks until a final design has been approved.
THIRD
Once a draft has been approved, you will be sent an invoice. Pre-payment is required before images are purchased. Any additional costs of images (such as those used from other stock sites including Period Images, etc) will be included on the invoice.
Note: Payment is through PayPal only, though, they have options for using credit cards without an account. All payments are to be made in USD.
FOURTH
Once payment has been received, you will be sent a clean proof of the cover. After receiving the proof, minor adjustments can be made until you are satisfied (within reason). Please ensure names, titles, taglines, etc are correct. Once the proof has been approved, I will upload the file (jpg) to Dropbox and you will be sent a link for download, as often mail programs will compress files, resulting in loss of clarity.

Note: I do not do illustrations or hand-drawn images at this time. Though, vector imagery like those typical of cozy mysteries is available.
Note: Files are delivered as flattened jpgs. Editable files are not sent. Covers cannot be altered and reused on additional projects. Any drafts not used during the design process remain the property of Kris Norris. Specialty images from sites such as iStock or Period Images will incur additional charges. These will be discussed upfront and a new estimated price will be presented.
